My Two Cents

Every time I see the GI Joe/TF crossover, I'm reminded of what a bad idea crossovers usually are. IMHO, it just doesn't work and I don't like it at all. And the colours! They're all spotty and horrible. Still, never mind; I suppose the US comic is the only reason the UK one exists, so I should thank it for that. In this issue, Bumblebee's been half Goldbugified, and Ratchet arrives to help him. Doctor Mindbender removes the tiny Bombshell from his pocket just as Mainframe starts playing with one of his cerebro shells, which is extremely fortunate as his tampering causes Bombshell to expand and Transform. Imagine the mess if he'd still been in Mindbender's pocket! Oh, there's some more of Hawk's self indulgent soul searching and then some talk about blowing up power station alpha. The UK strip delivers what is probably one of my favorite stories; Wheeljack finishes building the new Autobot Earthbase. He demonstrates his new security system, but, in his characteristically absent minded way, forgets that no-one's inside to turn it off. It's up to Prowl to get inside and shut it down. It's odd; in the TV series I really, REALLY hated Grimlock, but in the UK comic he's probably one of the funnier characters.
